I can’t send mail with the contact widget. I investigated probable reasons and it still would not after going to 2016 theme and renaming other plugins in File Manager. Another solution proposed I tried is Postman because I read the widget may not work with Godaddy. So I’ll just move ahead and replace that section with Caldera. You guys have a great product and I really love how it works, except this is a really bad hiccup in your system.
Hi AVWebmaster,
I’m sorry to hear about the issue you’re facing. Please note that there are no known issues with the contact from being able to send but there are a few reasons why you may not be able to receive the emails.
Typically the two main reasons why the contact form emails aren’t being received is due to settings that will result in the message being rejected by the mail servers. Please ensure your From and To Email Address are different and that your From Email Address is set to an email that hosts the current domain – for example, if the contact form is on doamin.com, the from email should be from [email protected].
If that doesn’t help, would it be possible for you to send me an export of your contact form? To do this please open up the page with the contact form in the editor and click the Layout button in the Page Builder toolbar. Then click import/export and then click download. Please upload the export to a 3rd party file hosting site such as WeTransfer.
Also, are you able to receive other emails from your website? I ask as not all hosting plans include mail support. If you’re not sure, I would double check with your hosting provider that you don’t have to do something specific to enable mail support for your hosting plan.
