Hi all,
I am using the contact form on my website for a yearly non-profit event. In the last years, the error message worked as expected: as soon as an obligatory content was missing, the message occured in red in or below the field.
Now, there is no error message anymore.
The form does not completed (I mean, there´s no incomplete mail sent to me), but the user doesn´t get a hint what´s wrong and that he missed something to fill out.
Does anybody know this problem and a solution?
Problem number two: if the contact form was filled out correctly and submitted, there is also no success message.
This is also a new problem and worked fine in the past.
Thanks for helping in advance.
Cornelia
Hi Cornelia
Thanks for posting your question.
Do the issues persist if you temporarily deactivate all plugins except the Widgets Bundle and Page Builder?
Thank you for your answer, Andrew. As the registration for the event has started already and I need to keep that permanently open, I am afraid to run such a test. I fear that the site will not work correctly in due time. Is there a possibility to check without touching the running site?
Hi, thanks for the update. To troubleshoot without using the existing site, you’d need to clone the live site, either to a local installation or to an installation on your server. Some hosts make it easy to create a staging site; you can perhaps check with yours to see if they offer that functionality.
