Hi,
I am using the Contact Form widget from the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle in a AccessPress Parallax Pro template. I have tested the form using 5 devices: 1 iMac, 1 iPad 2, 1 Huawei smart phone and 2 iPhone 5.
All attempts returned a success message after pressing the send button. All devices were connected to the same wifi network.
Messages from iMac arrived in the designated inbox.
Messages from iPad and Huawei arrived in the spam folder. This may be as a result of Akismet doing its job, which is fine.
Messages from both iPhones have never arrived. Not in the inbox, not in the spam folder.
Any idea what might be causing this?
Hi Chikashi
Apologies for the delay. Could you please, try temporarily disabling Akismet and then check to see if there is any change in this behaviour?
I turned off Akismet, but I now believe that it has to do with the submitter’s email address being a Yahoo address. I believe Yahoo has the strictect DMARC policy? Gmail seems fine, Hotmail seems fine, proprietary domains seem fine.
Thoughts?
Thanks for your feedback. At this point, it might be an idea to use a service like Mandrill with their plugin or use https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/ with Gmail. SMTP with Gmail is something I’ve used on a lot of client sites with good results. Madrill is nice if you want stats and to monitor reputation etc.
