Is there any way to copy a shortcode for the SiteOrgin Google Maps Widget? I’ve created a map that shows the location of all my stores and I want to copy it to 50+ pages. I’d rather copy and paste a short code to all 50 pages rather than going to each page and re-building the map each time. (it’s tedious adding a marker and typing in the store information over and over again)
I’m currently using WPGoogle Maps, but i’d like to use the SiteOrgin Google Maps Widget but i’m reluctant because I use the map on so many pages and don’t want to have to rebuild/edit each individual map each time I make a change. I’d like to be able to edit one map and have the change reflected on every map across my website (i’m able to do this using shortcode from WPGoogle Maps). For example, if I change the phone number of one of my locations i’d like to edit it once and have all of the other maps reflect the changed phone number (rather than going to each individual map and editing the phone number).
Is that possible with the SiteOrgin Google Maps Widget?
Thanks!
Hi Jmu289
Unfortunately, globally defined settings and mirrored widgets aren’t currently possible. The former is being planned to an extent. I’m sorry I couldn’t be of more help at this time. :(
Ideally, if possible, I would recommend adding the map to a widget area (WP AdminAppearanceWidget) as those widgets are global.
