Site Responsiveness – Same Widgets on Same Theme For Two Different Sites

Hello,

I am using the Hero Image widget on the Total theme for two different sites. The images at the Preferred website function fine on mobile while all the images at the Palmarius website fail to appear or come out cropped.

The About page on the Palmarius site also has display issues. This is just a row with two columns (image, editor) and a single column row underneath.

Is there any reason that I could check for why one site functions great and the other has trouble?

Thank you,
Suraj

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Suraj,

Would it be possible for you to send me an export for the home page on palmariususa.com? To do this please open up the linked page in the editor and click the Layout button in the Page Builder toolbar. Then click import/export and then click download. Please upload the export to a 3rd party file hosting site such as teknik.io.

Regarding the second issue, I suspect your theme doesn’t allow for flex based layouts. Please navigate to WP AdminSPagengsPage Builder and open the Layout setting group. Set Use Legacy Layout Engine to Always. How does that look?

    Hi Alex,

Thanks for the response. The export can be found here.

And that resolved the “About Page” issue Alex.

    Happy Monday!

    Hi Suraj,

The responsive issues with the hero widget on palmariususa.com no longer appear to be happening. Can you please confirm this is still an issue?

    Hi Alex,

I am still having the issue, please see screenshots here and here.

The respective pages are here and here.

    Thank you,

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Suraj,

Can you please try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related? I ask as something is pushing the slider over to the right and I’m unsure why this is happening – this isn’t normal for the SiteOrigin Hero widget.

If that doesn’t help, can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

Alex, it looks like uploading a logo solved the issue. It’s strange because I do have another site with the same theme, but for now everything works.

    Thanks again for your help!
