Site Origin widgets on Vip Go and $wp_filesystem->mkdir

My organization just moved our hosting to WordPress VIP Go and a major part of the plugin is breaking – in siteorigin-widget.class.php on line 732 it used mkdir, which is prohibited on VIP Go and fails.

There is no error catching of fallbacks, so the css file never gets made – so no customization can happen with the widgets.

I’m having to copy the CSS made in my local environment and put it into a CSS file in order to keep my site in working order.

    I’m really sorry any inconveniences or hassles this issue has caused you. We’ve started work on adding a fallback to resolve this issue. You can find the current work on this here.
