Site Origin Video Player Widget – Height probs

greetings! I am having so much fun designing my new site with Site Origins Page Builder! I love it!
I am trying to use the Site Origins Video Player in a cell on my rows. I am hoping to get a windows tile kind of look to my page. with the video as one of the tiles.

I am using a child theme of the Dazzling Theme. Page Builder works wonderfully with eveything else, I’ve tried. Here is a link to my page: http://www.mb4stl16.website/about-2/

At first I tried putting it into a row with multiple columns and rows of cells. The cell with the widget for the video (an external YouTube URL) was displaying constrained in it’s width just fine but the player was much longer than it needed to be. I tried to put cells below it to constrain the size but the player expanded to push the cell underneath dynamically (a feature that I love about the other cells, BTW! Great Job!)

I tried to put it in its own page builder row and it was still still very tall. I tried to use the widget Style attribute section to force a height. The row itself changed height according to the attribute style but the video still displayed at the same size, spilling outside of the the row container and over/under the next set of rows.

Is it something in the video attributes itself from YouTube?
Is there a way to fit it where I need it to be?
*puzzled*

Thanks again for these awesome tools!

    Hi Lisa

Thanks for reaching out. Sorry we weren’t able to reply sooner. It’s been a while since you posted, have you made any progress in resolving this challenge?

    hello andrew…
I haven’t. I left the video player as is (with the height problem) and have been working on other parts of the site and hoping a someone could help me with a solution. I have found other video players and even a nice video light box but I am so enjoying the other site origin plugin features and widgets that I really wanted to see what the SO video player would look like and do when it is working correctly.
As for upgrading to premium…well, we are a tiny non profit and trying very hard to keep costs down but make an upgrade to our webpage look. Site Origins has already helped us a long way on that path.
    Any advice would be great!

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for your feedback. An idea might be to go to YouTube and click Share > Embed and then enter custom dimensions for your video, you can then insert the embed code into a Text widget. I realise this is a work around but worth a try at this stage.

Thanks to Andrew for trying to help me think of a solution here. I really have lots of work arounds and other plugins to do this. As I mentioned, I was really just hoping for some help in making this Site Origin Video Player work correctly. I am officially giving up on it, tho, as I need to finish my page.
    *sigh*
I am still loving everything else about the Site Origin plugins and widget bundles.
    Thanks all!
