Site Origin Unwind

Hello there,

first of all thank you very much for your free themes like Site Origin Unwind, but I have to ask you: Why do you make it that hard for users to use a transparent header navigation? I have to reduce the margin of content area and make the header navigation transparent on my own to have a transparent header navigation.

My problem is this: Always I do the first row of my content area 100vw there appears a horizontal scrollbar. When I dont make the content area background image 100vw its cropped on mobile devices. Can you please help me fix that? Thank you very much!

Kind regards

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi,

There’s honestly no really good way to handle transparency in WordPress at the moment so there’s no real easy way for us to add this sort of functionality. North is, however, better suited to this type of header as it features a page setting that will allow you to Page Settings content. Sorry mate. :(

100vw will exceed the width of the page as it’s larger than the page itself. Ideally, I would set it at something lower like 98 or 99vw.

Can you please help me fix that?

To a degree, that’s unavoidable. It really depends on how large your image is but it needs to be noted that background images must maintain the height of the container they’re applied too so if the container is really larger or smaller than the image the image will likely be cropped.

With that said, I can definitely provide some advice. Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at your setup?
