Site Origin Page Builder stuck on loading

Hi There,

Whe I go to edit a page, the initial page builder interface loads, however, when I go to “edit” a widget, the loader just keeps spinning.

I have already deactivated all plugins to see if there was a conflict, but I don’t see anything wrong.
I have a known issue with jetpack, but it is not currently installed, can you please help.

Thanks,
~Ravs

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ravi,

Do you currently have Wordfence installed? (this runs regardless of WordPress plugin status – it depends purely on the plugin settings)

    If you do:
This is likely a WordFence issue. The issue is that it’s initially very strict so things like the Learning Mode do definitely help in resolving issues like this one. However, if you want to “skip” the learning process and just use your widgets you can do so pretty easily. Go to the affected widget and open it up, don’t get “blocked” yet. Instead, open up another tab on WP AdminWordFenceLive Traffic and filter it by blocked traffic. Then make an adjustment to your button widget and you’ll get blocked. Go back to the Wordfence tab and press the whitelist param from FireWall button. This is 100% safe as the contents of the field are not at all close to what would be required for an XSS attack. (it’s really quite odd it would even suggest such a thing…).

    If you don’t:
Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look?

    Hi Alex,

Thanks so much for getting back to me. I don’t have wordfence installed, but I am however working on the site using a virtual host redirect, until the site is completed, after which I will change the http://www.theatrixcostumehouse.com‘ DNS to point to the new server and site. I could have sworn it was working even though it was pointing to the Virtual Host IP (192.185.17.4), but I may not have been using the builder. Do you think that this is causing the error?

I am attaching image links below showing the steps and the errors that I receive when viewing the developer tools dev console in a chrome browser:

Step 1: Choosing the Front Page for editing:
    Selecting the Front Page

Step 2: Attempting to edit one of the widgets:
    The Errors

I have also set up an admin account as you have requested, you should be receiving an email shortly.

    Thanks for your assistance.

If the problem is with the VHost, then please advise how I can go about working on the site, or what I may need to do in order to work on it.

    Best to you,
    ~Ravs

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ravi,

Ah. Thank you for that. That’s actually what I was going to look for – typically it’s not as present.

It does look to be an issue with how it’s setup but I’m not really familiar with that side of things so I can’t really comment on it. I can however provide direction for bypassing this issue on a client side level. Basically, you need to enable CORS to allow access to the alternative IP and the domain itself. Due to the error message (specifically, the mention of a null origin), you should instead use a wildcard origin, at least for the time being. For instructions on how to do that please refer to this page and follow the relevant instructions for your setup.
