Site Origin “Page Builder” plugin creates double of everything on final result.

Hello,

I have been using Page builder plugin for a while now. I have recently updated all plugins and WordPress. When I create my page on the page builder, it must be creating the same actions on the “Text” tab (The original page creation). Resulting in the final webpage having double of the same thing.

Previously, I used to have to go into the original text and delete the whole page and then update it. (Resulting in the page being created once; just in the page builder tab and nothing in the original page creation page). With this new update I cannot go into the original text creation tab without the page builder being deleted. Apologies if this is confusing, I will try to expand with any questions asked.

Please assist! Thanks

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Edward,

You can prevent SiteOrigin Page Builder from copying the content over to the main content post by navigating to WP AdminSettingsPage Builder, open the content tab. Untick the Copy Content setting. Once you’ve done that you’ll need to get Page Builder to remove the previous content. To do this please open up any page with the copied over content and save the page. If that doesn’t work, please add the RSS widget to the page and then save. Remove the RSS widget and save again.

With that said, the non-page builder content shouldn’t be output on the post itself. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

To clarify, you should never switch to the standard editor unless you plan on no longer using Page Builder for that page as the structure will be lost. I’m unsure what version you were previously using but it’s been like this for as long as I can remember.
