Site origin page builder not wroking

3 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 3 years ago

After i updated my theme and wordpress. the plugin has stopped workking. the live editor option redirects to the default wordpress editor where no option works. Also the browser console shows “failed to load the resource. 500 error”. i have tried disabling all the plugins and default theme file but still not working.

    Hi, thanks for reaching out.

If the Preview Changes button isn’t working with a default theme activated and all non-SiteOrigin plugins deactivated you can perhaps try checking for console errors and troubleshoot from there.

Thanks for the update. Please, take a screenshot of the console 500 error and try reaching out to your web hosts. Please, ask them if they have ModSecurity or a similar module enabled and if so, could the 500 error perhaps be a false positive?

so there was a plugin called wordpress-importir. don’t know how it got there but after deleting that plugin the issue resolved. I think it was some kind of malware.
