Site origin page builder is broken?

1 year ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 1 year ago

My embedded YouTube videos on my website disappear when viewing from my mobile device, but works fine when viewing from my laptop.

I tried to use the older version of the site origin pagebuilder, but problem persists.

Then I tried to disable my Litespeed cache plugin, and things work fine

Please help!

    Hi Lance

Thanks for getting in touch. The issue should be resolved by the most recent updates to Page Builder and the Widgets Bundle. Please head over to Dashboard > Updates and ensure that there aren’t any updates pending.

    Thanks Andrew,

I checked and the issues seem to have been resolved.

However, when I checked again a few hours later, the same issues surfaced again.

    Hi Lance

Please try clearing any caching or optimization plugins, temporarily deactivating those plugins, and then sharing a link to an impacted page.

    Thanks

    Hi Andrew,

I have deactivated my Litespeed cache plugin.

Here's the link to one of my many pages with videos:

Thanks. All looking good on my end. Can you let me know the text above and below an issue video so I can locate the specific spot on the page?

    Hi Andrew,

The embedded Youtube video is still not showing up on mobile. The video is located just after the Tabe of Contents tab. Please see screenshot.

    Hi Andrew,

The embedded Youtube video is still not showing up on mobile. The video is located just after the "Table of Contents" tab, and above the sub-title
"Why Invest in Lentor Mansion". Please see screenshot.

The video should be in the blank white space between the "Table of
Contents" tab, and the sub-title "Why Invest in Lentor Mansion".

Thanks, Lance. When able, kindly clear and temporarily deactivate your caching/optimization plugin. That’ll give us a bit of a clearer view of what’s happening on the page. Cheers.

    Hi Andrew,

The embedded YouTube video is still not showing up on mobile once I reactivate the Litespeed cache plugin

Hi Lance. I’m not sure why that is. Is a previous cache being referenced for the page? You can troubleshot in the caching/performance plugin by deactivating the various functionalities to see if you can narrow down which part of Litespeed is causing the issue.

    Hi Andrew,

I have uninstall the Litespeed cache plugin and reinstall it. I have also gone thru the recommended configuration as advised by my hosting provider,
    Hostinger.

    But the issue still persists.

    Hi Lance

To troubleshoot within Litespeed, you can follow the same process as a standard plugin conflict test. The goal is to find a working baseline. Within Litespeed, temporarily deactivate all the possible features, caching, minification, JS, CSS, etc. With every possible feature within Litespeed disabled, does the video display? If the answer is yes, then you’ve found a working baseline and can progressively add features/functionality back until the issue reoccurs.

Whenever I have made changes to my website, like updating an article or remove an item from my menu, it takes a long time to load.

In fact, I am not able to remove an item from my menu. It takes a very long time to load, and eventually time out with an error message 524. I checked with my hosting provider and there is no issue.

This has happened for almost a week and could this be related to updated Siteorigin Widget Bundle or any plugin updates?

    My website is https://sghomeinvestment.com

    Hi Lance

    Thanks for posting your question.

It’s hard to say what the issue is without a bit of testing. You could start by temporarily deactivating all plugins and then re-checking the menu interface to see if there is any change.
