Site Origin not Saving Changes – Unless Visual Editor is Disabled

Hello,
We are running WP 5.0.2.
Site Origin Widget Bundle 1.13.4
Page Builder 2.9.7

We are unable to update any pages via Page Builder – UNLESS, we uncheck the Visual Editor.

So, if we have Disabled the visual editor, then we can make and save changes via Page Builder.

if we have the Visual Editor ENABLED, then we can NOT make or save any changes via Page Builder.

We have disabled any plugins that were recently added or updated, to no avail.

Thanks for looking into this.

Best Regards.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi BHCEDU,

This issue should be fixed as of the 1.14.0 SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle update. Can you please try updating to see if that helps?

    Hi Alex,
We have updated to 1.14.0, and the problem persists. Thanks.

    Hi BHCEDU,

That’s odd. I just tried to replicate this issue but I’m unable to replicate this issue anymore. Hm. Can you please try clearing your browser cache to see if that helps? I ask as the change to fix this issue was on a JavaScript file and it’s possible your browser could have cached the file and is currently serving the older version.

    Hi Alex,
Cache cleared. Purged all caches in WordPress. Logged in and out via Edge and Chrome.

Please note, we are also running: Livemesh SiteOrigin Widgets Version 2.5.1

    Hi BHCEDU,

Thanks. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

That poses a problem. :) We’re a community college and I’d have to do that late at night when no one is online. I’ll try to do that in the future. Presently though, we are able to workaround by disabling visual editor when we need to change pages built by Site Origin Page Builder. Perhaps we will just wait for another Plugin update too, as that may help. Thanks.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi BHCEDU,

I strongly recommend running the plugin conflict test when you’re able too. Unfortunately, as we’re no longer able to replicate this issue after the 1.14.0 update, the issue you’re experiencing cannot be resolved until another user experiences the same issue (and is able to run the plugin conflict) or we’re able to replicate this issue. I’m really sorry about this situation!
