Site Origin Maps does not show map in interactive mode

Dear all,

I see that people are able to use the google maps widget. In my case I do not have any success to show a map in interactive mode. Static does show a map but not in proper size. This is even the case using a clean wordpress installation without any other plugin.

Here is my testpage:

http://www.durato.de/wp/?page_id=4

That the api key does work fine can be seen here:

http://www.durato.de/maps.html

What are the issues here?

Thanx for help.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Detlef,

I just took a look at your page and I’m not seeing any issues with the maps being displayed. Were you able to resolve this issue?

Please note that Google does not recommend multiple maps on a single page as it can cause unexpected errors.

    Hi,

I was not able to solve the problem. But since yesterday night I do have further insights:

    1) Test maps
The page http://www.durato.de/wp/?page_id=4 still shows the problem. I.e. the first map with your widget “Interactive Maps integration” isn’t displayed even though having a right configuration. (see code:

    <div id="map-canvas-a30a7fcc8c7c8f6fc8fea032a0230179" class="sow-google-map-canvas" data-options="{"address":"Gent, Belgien","zoom":11,"scrollZoom":true,"draggable":true,"disableUi":false,"keepCentered":false,"markerIcon":"","markersDraggable":false,"markerAtCenter":false,"markerInfoDisplay":"click","markerPositions":[{"place":"Mayener Str. 101, 56070, Koblenz, Deutschland","info":"Text<\/p>","info_selected_editor":"tinymce","info_max_width":""}],"mapName":"","mapStyles":"","directions":"","apiKey":"AIzaSyAjVUj-2S8su6pr7MplMYArEtUEfkhxUtc"}" style="height:480px;"></div>

    2) How to get it working
Yesterday I was able to generate an interactive map with your widget. But this was only possible with the Widget “”Google Maps Easy”” right next to it. Deleting this widget immediately killed your map view. (Having a multiple map view was recommended in that case :-)

Conclusion: I think your problem is the implementation of the Google API Key and the method of communication with google. Unfortunately I can’t find a clear error message.

If you need further information’s. Don’t hesitate to ask. With my real project I just dropped the use of your widget. That is sad.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Detlef,

Thank you for the information – it’ll definitely be used to improve future versions of the widget. I’m going to log this and run a few tests.
