Hi! I built a website for a client and used the Site Origin Hero widget eight times. Everything works well when I view it on my laptop and even my iphone, and ipad. However I checked the site on my mother’s ipad mini, and each time I used the Site Origin Hero widget there was nothing there. The same thing is happening with the Site Origin Slider. Please, what do I need to adjust to make sure that all of the information is visible on the website no matter what device is being used? Mia
Hi Mia
Thanks for getting in touch.
It’s hard to say without taking a look. If you’re using SiteOrigin Premium, you could have hidden the widget for certain resolutions. Other plugins offer similar functionality. Could that have happened?
Hi Andrew,
Thanks for replying.
It's possible that I could have done that without realizing it. If that's the case, to where would I navigate, within the Site Origin Hero widget edit, to make it visible on all resolutions ?
Hi Mia
If you see SiteOrigin Premium installed in your Plugins list, please contact us via email at [email protected].
Screenshots showing where the Toggle Visibility settings are located can be found at Page: Toggle Visibility.
Thanks, I'll check it out! 😊
Sure, no problem. Alternatively, send a link a link to the page concerned, and we’ll take a look. Thanks.
Thank you! Actually I may have to send you a link. I just checked, and it looks like I'm using Site Origin CSS. So, when I checked the screenshots showing where to find the toggle visibility in the website you sent for me
I realized I don't have those buttons in my rows. After Attributes,
Layout, Mobile Layout and Design there was nothing for Toggle Visibility.
Then I checked my plugins and realized I have CSS. Would I still be able to send a link or do you guys mostly work with the premium version?
Thanks for the update. Does the issue resolve if you temporarily remove all contents from AppearanceCustom CSS?
Ok, I am in Appearance > Custom CSS and I’ve navigated to the page I need to fix. In what areas would I delete information, and how will I make sure that I can put it back if I need to?
If you have CSS rules added at Appearance > Custom CSS or Customize >
Additional CSS you can completely remove all rules added in those areas to see if your Custom CSS is the issue. It would be best for us to take a look at the page concerned.
If you have Custom CSS in place, save it to a text file before you remove it. Only SiteOrigin CSS has a revision history. The core field in the
Customizer doesn’t.
Ok. The page is https://arsassist.com/
The Contact Me page, as well as the Artwork for your home pages are giving me the issues
Thank you for helping me.
The tablet that the widgets are not visible on is an iPad mini 2. Could it be possible that it’s just because the tablet is older that the widgets aren’t visible?
Thanks for the link and details. All looks ok on an iPad Pro (11-inch) 3rd Generation – iOS 14.5. The third gen iPad pro is from October 30, 2018 but the iOS version is from 2021. It’s possible that the JavaScript used for the Hero and Slider Widgets isn’t being processed by an older version of Safari. The “Take Surveys” section is a Smart Slider. Does the issue also persist with the Smart Slider?
Hello, thank you for your reply. Yes the issue persists with the smart slider as well.
Yeah, I'm wondering if it's the older version of Safari, because it looks fine on my newer ipad. It's just the ipad mini 2 that isn't showing. Does that happen sometimes with Safari?
Thanks for confirming. I have encountered this before with old versions of Safari. You could perhaps experiment with a row background image, a Call to Action or Headline Widget, and a Button widget over the row background image as a workaround.
Ok, I will try that! Thank you so much for all your help!
For sure :)
