Site Origin Editor stuck on “loading” – but only on some pages

“Page for testing” – everything works fine. I can make changes and update the page and it saves correctly. I can open Site Origin editor and do whatever and it saves okay. I can open old or new SiteOrigin Editor widgets, and edit them.

Other pages:

Anything under HE Theme: I can open the Edit window, but when I go into Site Origin editor, I just get this endlessly spinning loading wheel:

I am able to add NEW Site Origin widgets on these problematic pages, just the old ones won’t open. The new ones I add do open and I can add content.

I tried this yesterday, it was happening with the one-before-last version of Site Origin editor; just updated to the latest version of the plugin and it’s still happening.

The last time this all worked fine was just a few days ago. I am not aware of having done anything to affect this. I believe the first plugin I updated recently, was Site Origin widgets bundle, after starting to have a problem with this.

Running latest WordPress and SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle 1.7.2.

I can provide access details privately.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Tate,

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
