Site origin editor locking up

my site is https://www.embroiderywaresoftware.com/ and I am running Iconic one theme

After updating page builder the visual editor locked up. I have had to do a server rewind to June 15th which puts the version back to the following below.

Page Builder by SiteOrigin
You have version 2.6.9 installed. Update to 2.7.3. View version 2.7.3 details.
Compatibility with WordPress 4.9.7: 100% (according to its author)

Select SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle

SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle
You have version 1.11.8 installed. Update to 1.12.1. View version 1.12.1 details.
Compatibility with WordPress 4.9.7: 100% (according to its author)

I have tried all the updates since, hoping to resolve the problem, and the visual editor still locks up.

For the time being I will remain on 2.6.9 and 1.11.8

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Jbailey969,

Can you please elaborate on what you mean by lock up? As in, the browser crashes?

Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

I have several panels set up with various site origin widgets. When I go to edit the text using the so widgets text editor the text editor becomes unresponsive and the changes made don't stick. From that point the whole page becomes unresponsive. If i downgrade site origin and the widgets to the versions mentioned above everything continues to work.

    Hi Jbailey,

To confirm, did you run the plugin conflict test?

If you did, and it didn’t help, would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look?

I can’t give outside access to the website. So I will wait this out until it works in the future.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Jbailey,

Please note that this isn’t a widespread issue so this issue may, unfortunately, remain until we’re able to inspect your website to identify this issue. Typically these sort of issues occurs due to a plugin conflict so it’s highly recommended you complete a plugin conflict test.
