Hi,
I have a Site origin button on my home page that’s not working. A little backstory. At one point, I had an issue where the page that the link pointed to went missing in my Dashboard Pages. I made another one that was identical in title and content because I couldn’t find the previous one and named it Western Health Modalities-2 although the name wasn’t changed in the Dashboard Pages which still read Western Health Modalities. I clicked on the Western Health Modalities on that page recently, instead of the edit link and it looked like it brought up the original page strangely instead of the new page created.
When I went to the WP’s customize area then accessed the Site Origin button the original page and second page show. I tried selecting both at different times but nothing helped the Site Origin Button link to work. I have other Site origin buttons next to this one that work fine.
Can you guide me?
Thanks,
Lisa
Hi Lisa,
Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?
Hi Alex!
Unfortunately it’s not public yet. :( What i can do is try to explain it better…
I have 4 layout builders, each with a 3 widgets: SiteOrigin image, Text and Site Origin Button.
There are 3 on the 1st row, the 2nd of which the Site Origin Button isn’t working.
Within the SiteOrigin Button window in the Layout Bilder Widget:
1. the Button Text is “Learn More”.
2. Destination URL is post: 467 which is Western Health Modalities page
2. No icon is selected
3. It’s aligned in the center
4. Button theme is Atom
5. Using hover effects
6. FOnt size is normal
7. Rounding: slightly rounded
8. Padding: Medium
9. No other attributes and SEO
10. Widget Style has nothing selected except for Background IMage Display: Tiled Image
All these are the same settings as the other Layout Builders except that each has its corresponding destination URL.
I”m thinking that the button isn’t working because it could be confused having two pages of the same name in the search content list when I’m inputting the destination URL.
One problem is I deleted the second Western Health Modalities Page but it still shows in the search content list.
Thanks,
Lisa
Alex,
In case it doesn’t show up on screen, I just upgraded to Premium.
I wonder if I should post a new post with my questions…
Thanks,
Lisa
Hi Lisa,
Unfortunately, for this sort of issue, I really need to see the resulting markup and the widget settings itself. Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look?
By the way, as you’re a premium user, you’re entitled to priority email support. If you would like to make use of that, please follow the instructions found on your Page: Dashboard. Please reference this thread and include your SiteOrigin order key in the email.

Hi Alex,
Thanks for that speedy reply! Glad I”m a premium member :)
The Dashboard page you linked to doesn’t have much info other than the zip folder and that my payment status is pending. I unzipped the folders but couldn’t find any additional info. Is it because my payment status is pending? I just payed for it before I sent you that last post.
As for the temporary user admin for my page, I set it up with your instructions but I didn’t see an option of sending user password, only send user email notification. Selected that.
Thanks so much!
Lisa

Alex,
I saw the support button and was able to send them an email with the details.
I just didn’t know that it was a button.
Thanks,
Lisa
This was handled via Premium support. It ended up being related to the theme she’s using (Illdy) that caused the issue.
