Hi Darryl,
Based on you disabling all plugins, it sounds like you’ve reached the memory limit. You need to apply a pretty hands on fix to resolve this issue. This article would be a good read as it’ll outline how to change it. You’ll need to edit wp-config.php. If you’re unfamiliar with FTP, I would recommend asking your hosting provider for help with editing this file.
If you really wish to revert to the previous update, you can do this by navigating to WP AdminPluginsInstalled Plugins, find and deactivate SiteOrigin page Builder, then delete the plugin – this will not cause data loss. Please click Add NewUpload Plugin and upload/activate this file. Please note that you will need to increase the memory limit or uninstall other plugins (so that the overall memory used is lower) to be able to use SiteOrigin Page Builder.
Found a suggestion on another forum that worked like a charm!!
Downloaded WP Rollback plugin and simply rolled back the offending Page Builder update…
Hi Alex
Can’t imagine how I’m at a memory limit, given the site is pretty small… would you like to have a look or can you direct me to how I can determine where I stand in regards to a memory limit.
(which memory limit – plugins?)
Memory: 21.12 of 128 MB (17%) | WP LIMIT: 40 MB
Doesn’t appear to be the issue..
It happened immediately after updating to the newest Page Builder version and was corrected by reverting…
Hi Darryl,
Okay so based on the WP Limit (being 40MB – which is really low, for example, WooComemrce requires at least 64MB but recommends 128MB for WP), it’s quite possible you did reach it. Regardless, the only way to know what is going on your website is to update the plugin and enable WP_DEBUG to get an idea of what the actual issue. To clarify, as you didn’t elaborate, what happened when you updated?
At first, the content was all distorted (very large text) and ‘mashed’ up along the left side of the page.
I tried loading a backup and there was suddenly no content expect my pricing plugin. Apparently all Sydney Theme Widgets were no longer accessible.
At this point, saw a post suggesting deactivating plugins and clearing cache, which I did, and it changed nothing.
Rows indicated Widget missing, and there were none of the Sydney widgets available to insert. They hadn’t apparently gone anywhere, as a rollback resolved the issue.

Hi Darryl,
Thank you for clarifying. That doesn’t indicate a memory issue. Was it only Sydney theme widgets that were affected other unrelated widgets (such as ours or WordPress’s) affected?
I didn’t notice other widgets that were still working fine, except for Responsive Pricing Table.
I see that the problem is the same on my local host (not sure why I didn’t update there first! lesson learned…) – The pricing table remains intact and the rest (Sydney widgets) are simply absent.
Siteorigin widgets did appear to be available when I was looking for the others…
Hi Darryl,
Thank you for letting me know. I suspect, based on this thread and a few others, a compatibility issue arose with the Sydney widgets. We’re actively working towards fixing this asap.
Cool. Will there be some manner of notification when it’s resolved?
Hi Darryl,
At this stage, I’m unsure. At the very least you’ll receive a notification of an update for SiteOrigin Page Builder or Sydney, if not both.
