Hi guys
I have a problem with the Site Builder plugin. At the time I updated to PHP 7.4 and the white screen of death problem disappeared.
It is back. I have done extensive troubleshooting.
• I have deactivated all plugins but the PageBuilder;
• I have ensured memory is sufficient;
• I have cleared bot the browser cache and site cache;
• I have swapped the theme for a default WordPress theme; and
• Updated PHP to 7.4 from 7.2
Everything looks fine but there are some errors in the console as follows:
Uncaught TypeError: jQuery(…).live is not a function

Do you have any idea why this may be happening and what the fix is for this please?
Kind regards
Hi Durc
Thanks for reaching out.

The above error can be resolved by the jQuery Migrate Helper plugin. When the above error presents in the console there will be a file path on the right, hover over that path to see the full URL. Alternatively, the jQuery Migrate Helper plugin will let you know the source of the issue.
Alternatively, temporarily deactivate all plugins except for Page Builder. Temporarily switch to a default theme like Twenty Nineteen. Does the issue persist in this state, it shouldn’t. If you’ve found a working baseline in this state, add your theme back first and then reactivate plugins one by one, checking for the issue after each activation. I don’t think you mentioned your theme in troubleshooting which is why it might be worth re-running the conflict test.
Hey Andrew
Thanks for your prompt response. I have disabled everything except for Page Builder and changed the theme over to Twenty TwentyOne and the issue persists I’m afraid. The only time I can update the page is when the Site Builder plugin is disabled.
The Theme is Vestige by Imithemes.
I have taken your advice and used the Enable jQuery Migrate Helper plugin and that has helped a lot. There are a number of issues with deprecated functions that I eventually managed to solve by downgrading WordPress to 5.4.4.
The Page Builder does update the page now and it seems like the theme is in dire need of an upgrade before it will work with any newer version of WordPress.
Thanks so much for your help.
Thanks for the update, I’m glad to hear you’re making progress.
Do you want to troubleshoot further now or wait until you’ve resolved the jQuery Migrate issues?
We can assist with the below but you’d need to upgrade WP and enable debug:
