Site Builder Stop Working after Upgrade

8 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 8 years ago

Hi, the site builder came with the theme I purchased. After I upgraded plugins (builder and widget), theme, wordpress, I realised that the site builder is no longer working. I can see the “Add Widget” “Add Row” and other buttons on the top but all the contents area are some what hidden. I cannot edit anything. The live page is displaying fine. I tried to create a new page and it is the same. I cannot add anything.
Do you have any idea why this is happening?
I appreciate if you can advise me how to fix this issue.

Thank you,

Sumiko Eyears

    Hi Sumiko,

To clarify, what version of SiteOrigin Page Builder and SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle do you have?

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If the above doesn’t help, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
