“Sign up here” widget

I’m using the Vantage theme and interested in whether there is a “sign up here” widget anywhere that I can use to allow people who come to the site to sign up to some basic products I can share with them via e-mail.

    Hi Mike

    Are you looking for a newsletter signup option? If so it’s best to start from the provider side of things. So for example once you’re setup with MailChimp or Campaign Monitor etc. they’ll usually have a plugin ready for WordPress or at least provide you with signup form HTML that you can insert into a Text widget.

    You could also go the plugin route: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wysija-newsletters/

    Thanks for the reply Andrew. Yes I am looking at using it for a newsletter but also want to give people access to a some free tools once they sign up. I wanted to host these on the site somewhere that you can only get to once you sign up. Is this possible?

    Ok so now we’re talking about something a little different. I’d take a look at a plugin called WP Members. That’ll let your restrict content according to membership level. Then you’d look for an integration between WP Members and whatever newsletter service you chose: http://rocketgeek.com/plugins/wp-members/add-on-modules/wp-members-mailchimp-integration/.

    There are other members plugins, the above is just one example.

    The integration would let you put the newsletter signup option in the members signup form, or something along those lines.
