I noticed a problem with sidebar on desktop view.
It looks normal on mobile.
But it looks strange on desktop.
Any idea why? I don’t know which version changes this.
Hi, thanks for posting.
You could perhaps edit the Features widget and change the Features per row setting from 3 to 1.
Andrew thank you.
I opened Plugins -> SiteOrigin Widgets -> Features (Settings).
There is only “Responsive Breakpoint” (set to 520 px).
I don’t see any other settings there.
For sure :)
Please, edit the Features widget itself. It’s likely that a user might want to change the Features per row for each widget they insert so, unfortunately, the setting isn’t available as a global setting.
I’m searching, but I simply can’t find where this setting (Features per row) is…
Any help would be – helpful :-)
Hi. Please, view the below image. Hope that helps.
Please, not this image will be available for viewing on the forum, not via email.
Now I think that I’m closer to it :-)
If i try to add new widget in Customize -> Widgets -> Sidebar, then I get this settings dialog.
But, I choose the existing one (Layout Builder -> Open Builder), then I get an error:
“Request-URI Too Long
The requested URL’s length exceeds the capacity limit for this server.”
It looks that here is a trick. Maybe, in that case, the right settings should appear.
Is this a bug (an URL is really long)?
Thanks. I’m not quite sure why that’s the case. Do you need a Layout Builder? Could you not just insert the Features Widget directly. Perhaps try editing from AppearanceWidgets.
I got this website to change some stuff and I’m not sure what is all these things are.
I will take some time to learn what is “Layout Builder” and where is it installed, what is the relation between SiteOrigin and Layout Builder and Sidebar …
Try editing the widgets from AppearanceWidgets instead of via the Customizer and see if that helps.
A Layout Builder is an instance of Page Builder by SiteOrigin within a widget. If there isn’t a layout, just widgets in a row or a column then you could potentially just insert the Features widget directly into the widget area without first inserting a Layout Builder.
