Sidebar in Vantage drops below page content on Posts Page

I have a Posts page on a (test) website where the top of the sidebar doesn’t float right (to line up with the top of the main content) the way it is supposed to: https://doctordada.com/aea/news/. It originally also happened on individual posts, but that “fixed itself” somehow. All other pages are fine. To make matters even more confusing for me, I don’t experience this problem with my personal website (https://www.doctordada.com/blog/), which is also running the same version of Vantage (1.7.8) on the latest WordPress (4.9.7).

    Hi, I Work Here

Hi, try editing the page concerned, check the Page Template in the right column, ensure that it’s set to Default.

Thanks Andrew. However, I can’t edit the page because it’s the Posts page, so gets populated automatically. Also, the Page Layout for that page is already set to “Default”. Is that what you meant?

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for the update. Page Layout is part of the Page Settings meta box.
Please check above that, also in the right column, that the Template drop-down is set to Default and that it is not set to Page Builder Home.

I’ve looked for a Template drop-down in the right column but can’t see it. Here’s a screenshot of it:

Actually, I just discovered in the Quick Edit pane, there’s a Template dropdown and it’s set to “Default”.

    Hi, I Work Here

Super, all looks normal on the blog page now.

It looks normal on https://www.doctordada.com/blog/ (as it has since I installed Vantage). But the problem page is https://doctordada.com/aea/news/.
(Incidentally I’m testing out Vantage in a sub-directory of my own server before I transfer it to the REAL Australian Esperanto Association website.)

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi

Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:

    Private Snippet

Just navigate to UsersAdd New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and Private Snippet for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the Send Password field so we receive the details.

Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

Sorry, I don’t understand. Why do I need to set my password?

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks :) AppearanceHome Page was ON which is our shortcut to getting started with Page Builder. Turning it OFF resolved the challenge. Apologies for the hassle. The News page looks good now.

Thanks so much, Andrew. That’s strange, I don’t remember even seeing that switch, let alone setting it to on. But you’re right, all fixed now. I really like Vantage but this was the only sticking point. So, thanks again. Cheers, Jonathan

    Hi, I Work Here

Glad to hear that did the trick :) Thanks for your understanding. All the best.
