Shortcode Button Not Working for Hero Image

I am trying to add the shortcode button to a hero image using [buttons]. However, it seems that the Site Origins hero widget doesn’t treat the button as part of the text. The button is not responsive: it’s fixed in its location, and as the window size changes, the text moves but the button doesn’t. As a result, the button is often over top most of the text. This same problem also happens when using other shortcodes. I would like to figure out how to make the Site Origins shortcode button responsive.

    Hi Lucas,

    That’s odd. That shouldn’t be happening. Do you by any chance have a public URL where I can take a look at the issue? This would be the best way for me to diagnose what’s going on.

    After trying a bunch of different solutions, it seems that the issue only happens when any headers are used. When using

    , the problem doesn’t occur.

    I’ve set up a test page so you can see the issue.

    If you try adjusting the size of the window, you’ll see that the buttons don’t move while the text does.

    Hi Lucas,

    Sorry for the delay.

    This is happening due to the following CSS you’ve added to WP Admin > Appearance > Custom CSS:

    .entry-content h2 {    font-family: Georgia;    height: 35px;    margin: 1px;    font-size: 20px;}

    Specifically, the height. The height “locks” the header at a specific size. This is problematic as on mobile devices it’ll naturally get bigger and due to the enforced height, other elements around the header aren’t able to accommodate this due to thinking the header is locked at 35px.
