    Hi Jgerm21,

The SiteOrigin Layout Slider widget doesn’t include any shortcodes. The SiteOrigin Hero widget includes a basic shortcode that allows you to add buttons to your slides but that isn’t available for the SIteOrigin Layout widget as you’re able to add SiteOrigin Button widgets directly to your slides.

Thanks, Alex. I’m happy to use the hero slider but it isn’t showing up in my header – and I have no idea why. And neither is the layout slider. There is no background color. Do you have any ideas? I’m worried because I have a deadline!

My theme (Generatepress) has the ability to add a hero but needs a shortcode for the slider – but it sounds like even the hero doesn’t have a shortcode I can place where I need it to show up?

    Thanks for your help! Jana

    Hi Jgerm21,

I’m not too familiar with GeneratePress so I’m not too sure why that may be happening. I would reach out to the developers for assistance with this issue as they’ll likely be familiar with why this is happening and how to avoid it.

Unfortunately, none of our widgets can be added directly to your website using shortcodes. You can use a plugin like amr shortcode any widget and that’ll allow you to indirectly add our widgets to the page but it will require some setup on your part.
