Search and hamburger menus don’t work in Safari on iPhone

4 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 4 years ago

Hello.

I use Site Origin Unwind. When I open the site on my iPhone, tapping the search button and hamburger menu doesn’t respond.
When I log in to WordPress, both the search button and the hamburger menu become responsive.
I haven’t verified it on android.
What can I do to improve this?

    Hi Koichiro

    Thanks for reaching out.

There is most likely a JavaScript error on the page. If you’d like to try and diagnose the issue directly you can find information here. Alternatively, try a quick plugin conflict test. With all plugins temporarily deactivated, does the issue persist?

    Hi Andrew.
    Thank you for your reply.

I understand the cause. It seems that the plug-in “Autoptimize” was causing trouble. After disabling “Autoptimize”, it was cured. Thank you.

    Hi Koichiro

Thanks for the update. Glad to hear you’re making progress. We use AO with Unwind. Within AO settings you’ll find a JavaScript section. There you can experiment with the available settings. One of the options might have been causing a problem. Enabling Optimize JS and Aggregate JS-files should be fine.
