RSS Feed Issue with Vantage/Page Builder

I put an RSS Feed icon and HTML in a Page Builder section of a sidebar widget and was not getting feed updates when creating new posts for my blog.

I finally put the RSS Feed HTML in a normal Text widget and now I am back to getting my feed updates. Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong that is causing this?

Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Randy

Can you clear this up for me a little. Page Builder, which accepts widgets is different from the Appearance > Sidebar widget area, Page Builder doesn’t have a presence under Appearance > Widgets. If you can confirm the HTML you inserted and the widget you used to insert it and where you inserted it I’ll try replicate on my side.

Is the Text widget setup working out ok though?

    Andrew –

Thanks for the reply, Yes, it seems the Text widget is working out for me.

I understand what you are asking and you are correct. I should have said the Visual Editor Widget in the Sidebar section. Then I should have said I used the Page Builder in my post.

I changed the sidebar to use the Text widget and the removed Page Builder from my post and then the post was recognized by feed readers.

So, I apologize for the confusion. After rethinking this, I don’t know if the issue is with the Visual Editor widget or having used Page Builder in the post. I want the flexibility of Page Builder, I like it’s functionality, I just want to be sure it is not causing any issues, like the one I was having.

Hope this helps explain the situation.

    Thanks again.

    Hi, I Work Here

Awesome, thanks for re-explaining that, I’m 100% with you now.

We haven’t actually looked at this issue, traditionally Page Builder get’s deployed mostly for static layouts and not so much posts. Would it be possible to stick with Page Builder for pages and perhaps make the changes you need for your posts to a child theme or with Custom CSS?

    Andrew –

Yes, sticking with Page Builder for pages is probably the way to go for me. As far as a child theme or custom CSS, that is probably more than I am capable of. :)

Thanks for getting back to me.
