    Hi William,

    Your link doesn’t seem to be working for me. Regardless, if you wish to have a row inside of another row I would suggest checking out the layout builder widget as that will allow you to accomplish this.

    Can you direct me to the layout builder widget? Sorry for the broken link here is the correct one, http://www.5thgearconsulting.com/business-loans/.

    Lastly how would it be done within the layout builder widget?

    Hi William,

    The layout builder widget can be found in the standard SiteOrigin Page Builder add widget screen. Please note that I see that you have Visual composer installed, and activated. We recommend you avoid running both SiteOrigin Page Builder and Visual Composer together as there’s a high chance of causing conflicts between the two.

    Once you’ve added the layout builder you’ll get presented with another page builder object. I know that sounds strange but it’s kind of hard to explain… as soon as you see it however you’ll understand what I mean.

    Alex,

    Thanks! I get it but is there a way to put a row with columns inside SiteOrigin Hero widget?

    Hi William,

    Unfortunately, no, that isn’t possible at this time. Sorry. :(

    Is there anything else I can help you with today?

    Alex you have been great! One last question… I followed your note above about the layout widget and is there a way the lower the transparency of the image in the background? Or would I have to create a custom image? As well as bring in the padding on both the left and right side? http://www.5thgearconsulting.com/business-loans/

    Hi William,

    Sadly you’ll have to manually adjust the image using an external tool such as Photoshop, or Paint.net.

    To adjust your layout builders padding please open it up. Then head on over to the Widget Styles sidebar and open the layout group, and adjust the padding.

    Thanks. I did utilize the padding but the padding is around the entire widget not just the left or the right. This making the visual not as appealing as the two sections are not aligned. Thoughts?

    Hi William,

    You can change this with some custom CSS. If you navigate to AppearanceCustom CSS, you’ll get our custom CSS editor. Just add the following code.

    #panel-2121-0-0-1 .panel-widget-style {
        padding-left: 50px !important;
        padding-right: 50px !important;
    }

    You’ll have to adjust the pixel amount. You might also need to install the SiteOrigin CSS Editor.

    I installed SiteOrigin CSS Editor and added the code but nothing. Am I using the correct #panel and how do I find which panel is which #.

    Hi William,

    Maybe I’m thinking you want a different panel padding adjusted. Could you show me a screenshot with the area highlighted?

    To find the panel number, go to AppearanceCustom CSS, click the eye, or the expanding arrows. Then find navigate to your intended page by clicking on the link, and clicking the link above the inspector – see image below, then find your element and click the intended area. Then select the selector row in the inspector and keep clicking up a level until you find the panel id. I’m sure this sounds a little confusing / overwhelming so I would recommend watching the getting started video on the CSS editor page.

    Thanks for all of your help. Attached is a screenshot.Screen Shot 2016-03-03 at 10.17.17 AM (2)

    I think I understand and I will watch the video but for some reason it is not implementing the padding.
