Row attributes create new div instead of modifying the actual row

When editing a row in the backend, and giving a special class name or attributes, another div is placed inside the ‘panel-grid’ div. So if you have two rows, one with a class and one without, you now have two different HTML structures to deal with.

One has ‘.panel-grid > .panel-row-style > .panel-grid-cell’, and the other has just ‘.panel-grid > .panel-grid-cell’.

This causes issues with styling, because now the ROW isn’t really the ROW, but more of a container FOR a ROW.

Is there any reason why those custom classes/attributes can’t be applied to the ‘.panel-grid’ div?

    Hi emrl

    Thanks for reaching out.

I’d need to chat to Greg here at SiteOrigin to explain why the grid engine was written that way. Can we offer any assistance in solving the CSS problem you’re currently working on?
