Right side bar missing; also excerpts needed for category pages

8 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 8 years ago

Hello,
Thank you for the very fine and easily adaptable Vantage theme!

So this is kind of frustrating because I had these settings before I had to reinstall wordpress; for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to get them back. I know I am probably missing something stupid.

So problems are the following:
1. I want my right side bar on my home page (which is static). I am using a child theme, but I dont think it should make a difference (because it worked before fine). I have it boxed and would like it boxed with a side bar on the front page. I saw a previous post about this same problem and ya’ll responded that there was some setting on page –> home page but I couldnt find it.

2. I want excerpts (little circles) for my category pages (same as my home page). I had this previously and just don’t know where to look.

anyway, my website is mommy-phd.com

Thank you in advance!

    Hi Eronoel,

    1. Please navigate to WP AdminAppearanceHome Page and click Edit as Page. Scroll down to the right and set the Page Template to Default. How does that look?

Please avoid saving the page via WP AdminAppearanceHome Page or it may undo this template change.

    2. Please navigate to WP AdminAppearanceCustomize, Theme SettingsBlog and set the Blog Archive Layout to Circle Icons.
