    Hi Pelsar

If you’re just inserting a slider into a Page Builder page, then you can insert it into a full-width row. Just create a row, click the spanner icon, then in the sidebar, under the “Layout” section, change row layout to full width stretched.

If you want to replace the main home page slider, then this thread should help – Thread: Replacing Meta Slider with Another Slider in Vantage

Hope that’s what you’re after. Please let me know if there’s something I missed.

    not really

I”m avoiding the child theme stuff since i’m brand new at WP and i already have enough frustrations and time spent on solutions that dont work and the child theme is a bit more than i’m comfortable with at this point

so i took the slide short code and simply put it in a row (I’m using Visual Composer), and it all works fine, it under the header menu, the problem being that is not full width (and yes i chose the full width option in VC). The problem i believe lies with the slider of which if i understand correction is looking for the “wrapper”

I can’t be sure, without having access to Visual Composer and Revolution Slider, but it looks like it’s just asking for a container that’ll always be full width. If that’s the case, #masthead might work.
