Responsive menu button not working after 2nd click.

Hi.

Got a strange one for you with the responsive Menu button…

If I click on the menu button and visit a page, I can happily navigate through the site. However, if I click on the menu button, then click the X in the corner to close it, I cannot click it again until I refresh the page.

On my iPhone the 2nd click of the button changes it to the on-click colour, but doesn’t do anything else. I can reproduce the problem on my iPhone and on my Mac (when I make the window narrow) in Safari, Firefox and Chrome.

Please advise.
Thanks.

    Hi Adam

    Thanks for reaching out.

Are you still seeing this problem? I’m unable to replicate on iPhone or Mac.

It bugged me for a few days, then suddenly started working fine on all devices… strange.
    I guess it’s ok then…

Can I ask how the retina logo works? Under Appearance > Theme Settings > Logo, I have added a Logo Image (313 × 60) and Retina Logo (866 × 166), but it only shows the smaller Logo Image one on my iPhone.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

The Retina logo should be exactly double the size of your standard logo. In this case, ideally, it should be:

    626 x 120

On high definition displays the Retina logo will be used in place of the regular logo.

Try adding your Retina logo at the dimensions I’ve suggested above. Also, try turning off Jetpack > Settings > Photon. With it on I’m struggling to see if your Retina logo is loading. I’m working on a Samsung non-hi-def and and a Macbook Pro Retina next to it so it’s pretty easy to re-load your site on each display and check the page source.

    Hi Andrew,

I haven’t changed the size of the logo yet, but turning off Photon fixed the issue immediately.

I’ve resized the logo to twice the size (and fixed a clipping issue with the original at the same time).

    Thanks for your help!
