Replacing unwind header with hero image

By Ger17_K, 6 years ago. Last reply by Alex S, 6 years ago.

Hello,

despite already some people having looked for something similar, I do believe this exact issue was not 100% addressed. I do want to replace the normal menu from the unwind theme with a hero image on all pages. Is this possible?

In the end the easiest would be to disable the menu all together and add the hero image to the individual pages. I simply need three pages which list the full blog posts of a specific category. But I just can’t get it done. How can I get a normal “blog” page (with full length posts) AND a custom hero image header? Any individual pages I create do not have the blog posts visible (probably a newbie question).

Any help is appreciated.

Best regards,
Steffen

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Steffen,

    Please navigate to WP AdminAppearanceWidgets and add a Layout Builder to your Masthead widget area. Open the Layout builder and add a Hero widget and set it up as desired. Once complete, please open the row and head over to the Row Styles sidebar. Open the Layout Settings group and set the Row Layout to Full Width Stretched.

    Then please navigate to WP AdminAppearanceCustom CSS add the following CSS:

    .top-bar {
    	display: none !important;
    }

    You might also need to install the SiteOrigin CSS Editor.
