Removing white areas between rows

Hi there,
In building a site for a friend using the Sydney theme, I am unable to remove certain white areas when scrolling through the site.

Issue 1 – from the home page and scrolling down towards the first ‘CTA’ there appears a white area, that regardless of changes to padding etc I simplt cannot remove!?

Issue 2 – similarly, at the bottom of the ‘Our Work’ section on the above site – again cannot remove white space?

I am just starting out with building sites and love the simplicity of site origin and love this thee, but it is really frustrating me now.
