Removing the plugin breaks the site

7 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 7 years ago

I’ve just taken on a new client and want to use another site builder that I’m more familiar with.

I disabled your plugin as usual and deleted it, only to find out that all the markup and inline styling is still there.

I tried reinstalling the plugin and seeing if there was an option to remove all styling on deletion, but couldn’t find anything.

How can I remove all the markup and inline styles? Cutting and pasting all the articles isn’t an option because they have 100’s of articles.

Please tell me there’s an easy way to do this? :(

Thanks

Lux

    Hi Lux,

When SiteOrigin Page Builder is removed, there will be certain fallback content present that does contain inline styles so that users who decide to remove plugin can still retain at least some of the created look using SiteOrigin Page Builder. Unfortunately, there’s no easy way to remove this styling/structure without losing the content (as in, the text itself) itself. I’m sorry mate! :(
