Hey there Guys!
I just was wondering if there is a possibility of removing the “Visual Editor” tab from the textwidget (or simple set the text-mode as standart if you open the widget). Mainly out of the reason, that otherwise my client probably would delete the (in the visual mode invisible) html code.
I found that there is a setting in the Users-tab or an other way with “add_filter( ‘user_can_richedit’ , ‘__return_false’, 50 );” in the functions file. But they both dont affect the widgets.
Hi Julian,
To confirm, you’re using the Text Widget, correct? If so, I would recommend installing Add Paragraphs Option to Text Widget. That’ll (by default) disable the visual editor enhancements of the Text widget and it’ll also add the Add Paragraphs setting back to the text widget which should prevent any formatting issues you may run into when adding things like JavaScript.
