remove the surrounding nextgen gallery

Hi…not sure if I need to post this on the NextGen support page or here. I want to remove the tags surrounding a NGG thumbnail so text can wrap around it. Cannot figure out where to edit the PHP. I’m including the page URL below

The info column to the right of the text will be much longer, and I want the text and gallery on the left. However, the gallery keeps getting pushed down below all other page info. The right column is set up as a span…works great with the text wrap but the NGG gets in the way of the wrap.

Any suggestions? Thx

    Hi Terrie

    Thanks for running Vantage.

Have you perhaps tried setting up the page with our Page Builder plugin rather? Defining layouts like this is Page Builder’s original purpose. Perhaps give that a go.

I tried that, but then I don’t have the gallery options I need. I suppose I could insert it in the visual editor and then copy the code and try it in page builder as html text. A bit complicated but I’ll give it a shot. Thx.

Have you tried inserting the gallery with the Visual Editor widget in Page Builder? To get access to this widget first install: http://wordpress.org/plugins/black-studio-tinymce-widget/. That’ll give you the normal Add Media interface in Page Builder.

    Thanks Andrew,
That’s helpful for adding media, but unfortunately I need to be able to add a NextGen Gallery with my custom settings. In the visual editor, a NGG is added by clicking on a green NGG insert tool, not the “add media” button. So, it still doesn’t work :(

BUT…the good news is that my solution for adding the gallery in the visual editor, copying the html in the text editor, then adding it to the text widget in page builder….WORKED!

Thanks for your ideas…I generally push the limits of a theme but I’m finding that Vantage is letting me do that, with a little effort :)

Ahh that’s right. Thanks for your understanding and for reporting back on your solution here. All the best.
