Remove sidebar from posts page

I have been trying to remove the sidebar from my posts page. I’ve tried everything I can think of, including the removal of from every .php that I can think of controlling the page. It will not go away. Any suggestions?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Chris

    Thanks for reaching out.

All WordPress themes completely overwrite their own folder during the theme update process. Please, don’t make any changes via Appearance > Editor if you’re not using a child theme. If we release an update to Vantage and you run it, any changes made via Appearance > Editor to the main theme files will be lost with no chance for recovery of those changes from within WordPress. There’s a small popup warning about this as you enter the Appearance > Editor interface.

If you delete all the widgets from Appearance > Widgets > Sidebar, the sidebar will automatically fall away from the posts page.

If you want to keep the sidebar for pages but not for posts, use Jetpack Widget Visibility to control when your widgets show up:

    Hope that helps :)
