Remove Pages from bottom slider

Hi

I know that if you used posts you could set it to show sticky only, but how can I set the slider to show pages (which is an option), but not to show some pages? I have product pages that I want to show, but I don’t want the contact/about us page to appear in the bottom slider.

They are pages because they are static content and the posts will be used for blog content, so I can’t swap to posts for products.

Hope that make sense.

    Hi tpdave

Please try our new Post Carousel found in our Widgets Bundle: https://wordpress.org/plugins/so-widgets-bundle/. Insert the SiteOrigin Post Carousel and use the Query Builder to add the pages you require. You need to use the search form within the widgets to add the pages you need.

We unfortunately don’t yet have documentation up for this widget: Page: Widgets Bundle | Free WordPress Widgets Pack & Plugins | SiteOrigin but hopefully will soon.

    Hi Andrew

Thanks for the reply. I can see that it should do what I need, but it doesn’t seem to work. When you select Pages as the option in the Query Builder, there’s no way to do any further searches as the pages don’t have Taxonomies, etc. Down the bottom with everything left blank, the plugin says “this query returns [link]9 posts[/link].” You can click on that and see the pages but they are not selectable.

    WP 4.0.01, btw.

    Thanks
    Dave

    Try this:

    1. Select Pages in drop down.
    2. Click Select Posts.
    3. Use the search bar in the far right of the modal window to search by page names.

Ah, yes, that works. I also see how the selector works now. My mistake. Perfect. Many thanks.

Super, glad to hear you made progress there.

    All the best.
