I would like to do the following. I’m very adept at altering any of the code so I’d really appreciate detailed descriptions on anything that needs to be altered:

1) I would like to remove the black area from the top of the screen (I think this is the masthead), or reduce it’s height by about half?

2) There’s a large gap between the bottom of the slide show and the footer. How can I remove this?

3) It looks to me like the text on the menu has some sort of shading or blurring at the beginning of each word. How could I remove this?

    A quick reminder that any changes made to theme files at a code level will be lost during theme updates. Here is our tutorial on Custom CSS if you’re interested: https://siteorigin.com/basics/modifying-theme-design-with-custom-css/.

    1. Looks like you’ve since opted for the Logo In Menu layout option. Let me know if you need further help there.

    2. Insert the following under Appearance > Custom CSS:

    .home #main {
padding-top: 0;
padding-bottom: 0;
}

    3. Same answer as point 1. Let me know if you still need a hand there.
