remove google analytics code

2 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 2 years ago

Hi, On my very basic and very old site, I need to remove the google analytics code but I can’t find where it is located. I have the vantage theme but nothing is under design/customizer/additional css. Also in the site origin css (design/custom css) is nothing written. How can I find out where the analytics code is and how am I able to remove it? Thanks for your help!

    Hi Koni

    Thanks for getting in touch.

Vantage doesn’t provide an Analytics tracking code field. There are quite a few ways Analytics tracking code can be added. You can try checking for the following:

    – A specific Analytics plugin.
    – A plugin like Header and Footer Scripts.
    – Check to see if you’re using a child theme, the code might be in your functions.php file or perhaps you moved the header or footer file into the child theme and edited it.
    – A custom plugin can also be used to load tracking code.
