Hello.

I want to use a custom image in my excerpts.
But I can seem to remove the frame around the image.
See the example here: http://imgur.com/9vnhuoI

How do I remove the frame around the image?

    Hi Jonas. I answered your support mail but for reference purposes, image shadow and border can be removed in Vantage Premium by heading to:

    Appearance > Customize > Page: Image Shadow and Rounding. Un-tick that checkbox.

    Thanks for the quick reply, Andrew.

    I thought I had looked in there. But I found it now, and it works like a charm! Thank you!

    Super, glad you found it. The organic growth of the Customizer in Vantage has meant it’s not as organized as we would have liked. We’re hoping to have a more organized Customizer in future themes.

    Sounds great, Andrew.

    I have one more question for you.
    When I use the “Circle Icons” and add a link to them, a little arrow is showing underneath.
    Example: http://imgur.com/10k073U

    Is it possible to remove that little arrow at the bottom?

    Sure, give this a try under Appearance > Custom CSS:

    /* Hide circle icon more button */
    .widget_circleicon-widget .circle-icon-box a.more-button {
    display: none !important;
    }

    Thanks, Andrew!

    Really appreciate your help!
    It worked great!

    Aaaaand I’m back!

    I have been looking through the theme and the themes settings.
    Is it true, that there isn’t a place, where you can upload a favicon?

    If so, how do I add/upload one?

  9. Andrew Misplon Staff 11 years, 9 months ago

    Hey Jonas. Our themes being on the WordPress theme directory mean they have to meet the official theme guidelines. One of those is that a feature like a Favicon is a plugin feature and shouldn’t be included in a theme. As a result we can’t include it. My plugin of choice for this is:

    I have a big problem!

    My logo in the top menu isn’t showing correctly in the Safari Browser.

    Example: http://imgur.com/OZtcvsH

    How do I fix that?

  11. Jonas Løhde 11 years, 9 months ago

    I’ve tested it on various computers now. It is apparently only in my Safari browser it looks like that?!

    Is this live? Please send through a url if it is. Thanks.

    Yes, it’s live.

    The URL is: http://www.lejendom.dk

    This masthead layout constrains the logo. I can either remove that in all browsers for you – then you’ll see the actual size of the logo OR you can change your logo from width=”1080″ height=”234″, that’s what it is now, to 162 x 59px which is what you’re seeing it as in Chrome etc.

  15. Andrew Misplon Staff 11 years, 9 months ago

    So given this masthead layout, as it stands, your logo should be uploaded at 162 x 59 and your Retina logo at 324 x 118

    Thanks, Andrew. I will resize the image to the correct sizes.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

    For sure.

    For reference purposes, if anyone would like to remove the logo constraint that gets put in place when using the Logo in Menu masthead layout, place the following CSS under Appearance > CSS:

    /* Remove Logo in Menu image constraint */
    header#masthead.masthead-logo-in-menu .logo > img {
    max-height: none !important;
    }

    Hi – on my site (www.pistoiaalliance.org) I’ve just updated to the latest Vantage Premium and images have started showing borders around them again even with the relevant setting unchecked. I looked at this setting:

    Appearance > Customize > Page: Image Shadow and Rounding.

    It is unchecked. In the page preview on the Appearance page I can make the borders appear/disappear by checking/unchecking this box. However no matter whether I tick the box or not, after saving the setting changes the actual site still shows borders regardless.

    Could this bug be fixed, or is it a feature and I need to change some other setting?
