Remove body background

Hello there. I installed your plugins and I find it fantastic and very ease to use. However, I’m encountering a small problem. Here is the adress for my website :

http://dkbguild.eu/home/

As you can see, I’m doing some try, but I have a problem with the white background, I would like to make it dissapear. I tought it would do the job by adding a plugin to hide the title, but it doesn’t have the whole thing, only the title is hidden.

Could you please help me with that? I’m aiming to make a website of this style : https://www.theavalanche.se/

Thanks for your reply, and if you have any extra tips, i’m all ear :)

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Djamel,

    Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? Or, alternatively, would it be possible for you to private us with an access link to bypass the maintenance gate.

    Hello. I’ve fixed the issue. Now I have another problem.

    So, I would like to make a row, with a particular background image. The problem is if I add text over that image, it is hard to read. So I would like to add an overlay color, something to darken the picture and make the text more readable. I tried to add a background color via the design of the row, but the color of the background goes behind the background image. And if possible, edit the opacity of that background color.
    Any way to do that? Shall I upgrade to premium?

      Hi Djamel,

      You need to apply the background directly to the widget (whatever you’re adding text too).

      Please try opening the widget and head over to the widget styles sidebar. Open the Attribute settings group and set the CSS Styles to: background: rgba( 0, 0, 0, .3);

      Then consider applying minor padding by opening the Layout widget styles and set the padding to 5 then save. How does that look?

    Hello! Thank you it is doing the job. But then I have another problem:
    Let’s say I want to change the color of that overlay with a hover. Where do I apply the hover css? I can’t do it on the full row, because it doesn’t have the color background. Can I do it inside the Attribute settings, by adding some css?
    Something like :

    .widgetname:hover{background-color:rgba(100,100,100,0.3)}

    I tried the solution of widget by widget (because i have 2 widgets in my row, title headline+ features) and when i hover it, it only do the job separately on each widget, you can actually see which widget you hover :(

    Okay. I solved this problem by adding a row inside a row, and then I added a background-image to the first row, and a background-color to the 2nd row. The problem (I love creating them it seems), is I tried to apply a changing color for the background color on hover, and this is what happens :

    As you can see, when you hover on a specific “div” it changes the opacity of everything inside. And I really don’t know what’s causing that. On the left, you can see the css I applied on the row which I named “.featr” and applied a changing background color transition on hover.
    I gave you the administrator rank with the adress you gave me, if you want to have a look. You have to go to :

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Djamel,

    The CSS styles field (which is in the Attribute settings group) only support line CSS (ie. no selectors). I recommend adding CSS to your website with the help of SiteOrigin CSS.

    It sounds like you’re trying to do something similar to this thread Thread: Change background colour of a column on hover? I would recommend giving it a read to see if it helps. Also, it sounds like you’re changing opacity. Opacity changes everything inside of the container, not just the background. If you wish to change just the background opacity, you’ll want to use RGBA – for example, background: rgba( 0, 0, 0, 0.8 );

    Please note that I never actually received an email from your website so I’m unable to actually login. If you would still like me to take a look – could you please resend the password? Sorry about this!
