I’m using the Vantage template and was wondering if it’s possible to move the main menu to the right of the logo instead of taking up the entire width of the header below the logo? So for example the logo and menu would be next to each other and let’s say the logo would take up 1/4 of the header and the menu would take up the other 3/4 of the width. Doable?
Relocate main menu to the right of logo?

Hi Alex,
Kind of. You can add a menu to the header but it won’t look exactly the same as the regular menu. Please navigate to WP AdminAppearanceWidgets and add a custom menu widget to your header widget area. Open it and set the main menu.
Confirm if this looks okay (it might not be the exact desired width – we’ll come back to this), and then navigate to WP AdminAppearanceCustomize, Theme SettingsLayout. Set the Masthead Menu to Empty Menu.
Hi Alex,
Thank you for your reply. That works and perhaps it’s as close as I’ll get.
I was using UberMenu3, the functionality of which I seem to have totally lost using this method. Client may be ok with that though.
In your reply you said “we’ll come back to this” but you never did. Was there some more info regarding customization of this menu or menu location?
Hi Alex,
Sorry, I should have been more specific. By “we’ll come back to this” I meant that I would provide you with a solution to this if this was the case. If this is the case, do you have a public URL where we can take a look at your new menu? If you need to keep this URL private from other users, just select “Private Reply” on the bottom right of the comment box.
Actually regarding UberMenu. They look to have a widget you can use instead of the Custom Menu Widget (reference), might be worth looking into.
