Regarding SiteOrgin Post Carousel

10 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 10 years ago

Hi !

1. Is it possible to have SiteOrgin Post Carousel to show only future image, title but no text from the post ?

2. Is it possible to center the title of the Carousel ? I have already tried with :

.sow-carousel-title {
text-align: center;
}

But that did not make any change

3. How do I change the text and text color on the “read more” button ?

    Hi Kim

    Thanks for reaching out.

    1. The Features widget only shows the featured image and title. Do you have a case where it’s showing the post excerpt? If so, that’s un-expected.

    2. It should already be centered.

    3. There is no read more button in the SiteOrigin Post Carousel.

    I took a quick look. I think you’re using this plugin:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/owl-carousel/

    Is that correct?

    Thanks :)

    If you want to try the SiteOrigin Carousel widget, go to Plugins and ensure the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle is installed. Next, go to Plugins > SiteOrigin Widgets and ensure the Post Carousel is enabled. Finally, go to any widget area or page using Page Builder and insert the “SiteOrigin Post Carousel” widget.

    Hope that helps.

    I deeply apologize !!! – I´m so sorry, but I went wrong between WP post carousel and SiteOrigin Carousel !

    But on the good side SiteOrigin post carousel is way better, except for one thing !

    There is no auto shift between the posts ! Only the manual via the arrows.

    Can that be an option in any way ?

    Once again, I´m so sorry to have wasted your time !

    No problem at all, we’re happy to take a look.

    Unfortunately, you’re right. At the moment the SiteOrigin Carousel only has manual buttons to move the posts. There isn’t any way to change this at the moment.

    One option might be to look for another carousel at https://wordpress.org/plugins/

    If you do use the SiteOrigin Carousel here or somewhere else you might notice a problem with the button arrow color. To correct that, add the following to Appearance > Custom CSS:

    /* SiteOrigin Carousel Widget */
    #main .so-widget-sow-post-carousel a,
    #main .so-widget-sow-post-carousel a:hover {
    	color: white;
    }
