on my home page https://www.loongtrips.com/ there is a gap between the mast head and the first hero widget. This happened after the recent North update1.4.6 and please note that this issue is only happening for pages. posts section looks fine

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Gopu,

    I’m not too sure why it’s only just now become noticeable on your home page but it’s definitely present on your other pages/posts – it’s just not as noticeable.

    Regardless, You can remove this with some custom CSS. If you navigate to AppearanceCustom CSS, you’ll get our custom CSS editor. Add the following CSS:

    .home .entry-content {
        margin: 0;
    }

    You might also need to install the SiteOrigin CSS Editor.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Gopu,

    I can’t seem to see a difference. Do you happen to have a server-side cache or anything like that? If so, can you please try clearing them.

  6. 7 years, 5 months ago Gopu

    ok … I will look into it Alex, I do have a CloudFlare service activated.i will also check on my local setup to see the issue and will update you here . :) Anyways thanks for the reply

    clearing the cache don’t solve the issue the margin appears only when updated to 1.3.6 and when switched back the margin disappears . Alex, i checked in my local setup too. please note that i have not checked the ‘Masthead Bottom Margin’option n page settings. and this happens only in pages. all posts are fine. please see this, https://www.loongtrips.com/things-to-do-in-italy/ is a post and i cant find a margin below masthead. but in homepage which is a page, the margin is there https://www.loongtrips.com/.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Gopu,

    Can you please send me a screenshot of what you see? You’ll need to upload the image to a third party image hosting site like vgy.me or imgur.

    For reference, this is what I see:

    Hello Alex,
    please look at these screen shot. my homepage is created using pages

    This is how the page looks in 1.3.6 the latest update,see there is a gap between the masthead menu and the hero wdget

    https://www.loongtrips.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/Capture1page1.3.6.jpg

    This is the same page when using the second last release, 1.3.4

    https://www.loongtrips.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/Capture2page-1.3.4.jpg

    1)create a page in North 1.3.6,
    page settings as
    https://www.loongtrips.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/Captureop.jpg
    2)create a row with full width stretched and insert a hero widget,top padding 0
    3)preview the page both in 1.3.6 and 1.3.4 .i hope you can notice the top margin in this page.

    do the same settings in post section and preview, you can see that both 1.3.4 and 1.3.6 has no differences, there will be no gap between the masthead and hero widget.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Gopu,

    Okay so I managed to see what you’re referring too. I removed hentry from pages and didn’t realize we were applying spacing to .hentry so that’s why this issue was caused – very sorry about that!

    Please add the following temporary CSS (as it’ll be in the next update) to WP AdminAppearanceCustom CSS:

    article.page > *:first-child {	margin-top: 0;}article.page > *:last-child {	margin-bottom: 0;}article.page {  margin-bottom: 0;}

    You might also need to install the SiteOrigin CSS Editor.
