Reading Settings Missing

Hi,
I bought and installed the Vantage Premium theme and installed the Page Builder.
Now I can not find the “Front page displays” settings.
Not under reading settings or under “Appearance/Customise”.

Should it be disabled and gone or did something happen with the installation?

Thanks!

Is it that at least one page has to be created except the original theme front page to show the “Front Page Displays” settings? But I have pots that at the moment is shown on the start page so I show be able to set static page or blog already now… or?

    Thanks!

Yes pages have to be created other than the demo site.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi ERobert

Sorry to hear about the hassle.

Settings > Reading should contain the Front page displays. There isn’t anything in Vantage or Page Builder that would remove a core feature like that. To resolve you could try:

    1. De-activate all plugins.
    2. Re-check.
    3. If still not there switch to a default theme like Twenty Fourteen.

After item 3 you should have a default installation. If it’s still not there then there might be a problem with your WordPress core.

    Ways around this:

    1. Appearance > Home Page > set to ON at top. That’s your home page.
    2. For your Blog page pick any page, use Page Builder tab, add a Post Loop widget.

Hope you’re able to make progress.

    Hello!
Sorry but I found the solution.
I wrote a comment on my own post.
Could not find any "Solved" button.

I only had the demo site, not any other pages.
So the settings is hidden until you make a page.

I'm not used to GUI's that hide things when they are not in use. Normally they are grayed out or something.
Personal I think things should be there even if they can not be used at the moment. Its more educational.

    Hi, I Work Here

Super, glad to hear you made progress. For sure, completely agree with your comments. The WordPress core is being worked on all the time so I’m sure we’ll see improvements in this area in the future.
