I think others have had this problem but I don’t understand what I have read.

I have a tried to get the ‘more’ tool working on a page. It doesn’t appear, nothing to click.

    Hi Hunny,

    Preface: I suspect you’re talking about the standard WordPress Read More functionality.

    So the issue is that context you’re using the read more in isn’t correct. The read more is used to show a summary of an article on the recent posts page, not as a way of collapsing / expanding text. It’s basically just a fancy way of doing an excerpt.

    What you’re looking for is a plugin like ShowHide or Collapse-O-Matic. These plugins will allow you to wrap your content in them and won’t be visible until a user clicks a link.
