Random slide order in Hero widget

Hi all,

I’d like the Hero slider to load slides in a random order when the page loads.

Any ideas anyone?

I’ll keep mangling some CSS in the meantime.

    Thanks for reaching out.

    Unfortunately, it isn’t currently possible to set a random order for the Hero. I checked Smart Slider 3, that does offer a randomization option but only in the premium version. Sorry I don’t have any suggestions at the moment.

    Thanks for the reply.

    Random would be a nice function.
    Also, perhaps set within individual slide settings I guess, the ability to select a specific slide to show in particular order (ie first, second, whatever) and randomize others.

    I’ve twice now had people ask for a front-end or first slide to be followed by randomized slides, especially once off the front page. There’s probably ways to code this but I’m not that hard-core and the budgets wouldn’t cover custom.

    Thanks for your feedback. More info on what Smart Slider has to offer at the following URL https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1293-slider-settings-slides. They offer the ability to randomize only the first slide, not quite what you’re after.
